Randall Wright Patterson is Managing Partner of Lake Pointe Partners, LLC, a nationally recognized consulting firm exclusively dedicated to providing profit enhancement, corporate renewal and turnaround consulting services to underperforming businesses.
Mr. Patterson has over 25 years of experience working with underperforming and financially distressed businesses in both consulting and interim management roles. He has had broad experience with hundreds of clients in numerous industries including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, transportation, healthcare, service and construction companies in a broad range of life-cycles from start-ups to mature business enterprises. He also serves as a board member to other companies and organizations. Randy is also a frequent lecturer nationally on topics of turnaround and change management and has appeared in over thirty national newspapers, business magazines and television programs.
Mr. Patterson’s work has been recognized by the public and his peers with numerous nominations for awards including Turnaround of the Year by the Turnaround Management Association, the Turnaround Transaction of the Year by The M&A Advisor and the Blue Chip Enterprise Award by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He recently received the Turnaround Management’s Association’s prestigious Outstanding Individual Contribution Award for his contributions to the turnaround management industry.
Prior to founding Lake Pointe in 2004, Mr. Patterson was Managing Principal of the Chicago Office of BBK, Ltd. a nationally recognized turnaround consulting firm that acquired Mr. Patterson’s previous turnaround firm that he began in 1990. Mr. Patterson’s previous firm was selected as one of the Top 12 Turnaround Firms in 1998 by Turnarounds & Workouts Magazine. Prior experience includes over 12 years of experience with the international public accounting and consulting firm of Deloitte & Touche.
Mr. Patterson received his BSIM degree from Purdue University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. His credentials include being a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Mr. Patterson is active in the Turnaround Management Association, having served as a longtime member of its International Board of Directors and Past Chapter President. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. He is a licensed business broker and a member of the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries.

David T. Allen ("Dave") is a managing partner with Lake Pointe Partners, LLC ("Lake Pointe") and has over 20 years of experience in working with financially distressed and underperforming companies, in both advisory and interim management roles. Industries served include manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, services and construction.
In the consumer products industry specifically, he has served in both advisory and interim management roles with consumer products companies with annual revenues of $450 million to $1.5 billion, including House of Fabrics (NYSE listed), Beaulieu Group, LLC and Central Hardware. Prior experience includes management positions with the consumer products giants Sara Lee Corp. and Campbell Soup, as well as Dynascan Corporation.
Prior to joining Lake Pointe, Mr. Allen was a partner at two nationally recognized turnaround management firms, Allomet Partners, Ltd. and Buccino & Associates, Inc. During this time, Mr. Allen worked on over 100 turnaround and restructuring engagements and has led negotiations with secured lenders, management, creditors, and potential new investors. He has experience in Chapter 11 proceedings, including pre- and post-bankruptcy situations, restructurings and exit strategy evaluations.
Mr. Allen began his career in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Co. He was Director of Corporate Planning at Sara Lee Corp., and then CFO of one of its divisions. Additionally, he worked in the venture capital industry for Heizer Corporation. Then, as Vice President-Controller for Campbell Soup, he directed the staff of 135 people in planning, forecasting, and monitoring the performance of over 50 business units in 15 domestic and international operating divisions. As Vice President and CFO for Dynascan Corporation, he was a member of the management team that turned the company around and restructured its operations.
Mr. Allen has a BS degree in Accounting and an MBA degree from Indiana University. He has been an active member of the Turnaround Management Association and a past President of the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals (ACTP) on whose Board he served for several years. He has been President and Director of the Indiana University Business School Alumni Association. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board for several privately held companies. Presently, he is Trustee for the Village of Burr Ridge, Il.

Kurt S. Knipp is a Partner with Lake Pointe. He has over 25 years of professional experience with specialization in corporate renewal advisory and interim management. Currently, Mr. Knipp is the interim Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing of a $300 million revenue petroleum products distributor. Recently, he assisted a $60 million revenue furniture manufacturing client with transitioning all US operations to China. Prior to that, Mr. Knipp was the Interim Vice President of Sales & Marketing of a $400 million revenue wholesale electrical distributor.
In addition to Mr. Knipp’s turnaround consulting experience, he has also served in general management consulting and held senior management positions. Mr. Knipp has extensive experience in manufacturing, distribution, electronic point-of-sale services and e-commerce industries. He has led several international assignments in North America, Europe and Asia. Before joining Lake Pointe, Mr. Knipp was a Director at BBK, Ltd., a national turnaround consulting firm. During this time, he served such clients as General Motors, Delphi, DaimlerChrysler and Toyota with their troubled supplier issues.
As Executive Vice President of National Processing Company, Mr. Knipp led the turnaround of the primary operating unit (merchant credit and debit card processing) of a financial services company, participating on an executive management team that completed a successful initial public offering (IPO), raising $115 million. He has personally assisted with the management of high-profile customers including Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target Stores, Walgreens, The Limited, Microsoft, Mobile Oil, Delta Air Lines, Continental Air Lines and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
As Senior Vice President Finance of Nabanco (acquired by First Data Corporation) Mr. Knipp’s responsibilities included accounting, finance and cash management functions, in addition to the acquisition and integration of merchant credit and debit card portfolios. While in a consulting capacity, Mr. Knipp performed a viability study for Nationwide Money, a 1500-client ATM deployment and service provider.
Mr. Knipp began his career at Continental Bank Illinois with assignments in systems development and corporate banking. At Wachovia Bank he was a Senior Vice President, Credit Manager of Georgia asset-based lending. Mr. Knipp received his BS degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and completed graduate work in Computer Science. Mr. Knipp is also a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP).
Mr. Knipp has served on the boards of the Electronic Transactions Association and the International Operations Committee of MasterCard International. He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Association of Corporate Growth and also currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Chicago House of Blues.

Jon B. Anderson is Partner-in-Charge of the Shanghai, China office of Lake Pointe Partners, LLC. Mr. Anderson is a seasoned business executive and consultant with over thirty years of diverse experience working in and consulting to fast growth, industry-leading public and private manufacturing and service companies. His corporate experience includes international responsibilities in multi-site operations, acquisition due diligence, operations integration, business start-ups, human resource management and recruiting, and governmental relations in both union and non-union settings. In addition, he has country experience in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, England, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Mr. Anderson resides in Shanghai, China.
Prior to joining Lake Pointe, Mr. Anderson was a Managing Director with a national consulting firm where he helped U.S.-based companies improve their results through low-cost country sourcing strategies, market entry in China including start-up of wholly-owned foreign manufacturing enterprises, and HR services. He served in both consulting and interim management capacities. He also assisted private equity sponsors in the U.S. with developing and implementing strategic global sourcing solutions for their portfolio companies. Previously, as a Partner with ChinaLine, LLC, Mr. Anderson advised U.S.-based companies on strategic sourcing with China manufacturers, international business development and global supply chain management.
Mr. Anderson previously served on-site as the Deputy General Manager of BMI Metronics (Shanghai) Co., where he led the planning and implementation of a China business plan, culminating in a turnkey manufacturing operation. Prior positions include Vice President of Human Resources for Littelfuse, Inc. and Director of Human Resources and Administration for a high tech division of R. R. Donnelley & Sons Company.
Mr. Anderson holds a BS degree in Psychology from Purdue University, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and he has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society for Human Resource Management. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Bruce C. Paul is a Partner with the Firm. He is a former Tatum Partner and 35-year veteran of senior management and operational turnarounds for distressed and underperforming companies. For the last 15 years he has worked for clients of leading private equity firms and asset based lenders as interim CRO, CFO and CIO across various industries including automotive, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products and business services.
As CFO of a private equity portfolio company he led the acquisition and integration team to purchase three competitors in rapid succession growing the combined entity to $350 million in annual revenues. As CRO/CFO of a $65 million manufacturer in Chapter 11, he led the financial and operational restructuring, recruited a new management team, renegotiated key customer contracts and attracted new financing. The company emerged from bankruptcy in January 2006. As CFO/CIO of a $250 million privately held company with a public subsidiary and international operations, he led a 15-month program to restructure operations and upgrade technology, completing the project under budget and ahead of schedule. As CIO/VP Finance for a $100 million NASDAQ listed manufacturer performing an industry rollup, he led the acquisition and integration team that resulted in “best-in-family” processes among all acquired companies.
Mr. Paul began his career in program management with Singer Aerospace and product development finance with Ford Motor Company. He then spent 12 years in various crisis management, supply chain, and technology roles at International Harvester/Navistar, where he led several initiatives as part of the company’s celebrated financial restructuring and operational refocusing. Mr. Paul received his Bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University as a Fellow of the Honors College, with concentrations in Psychology and Accounting, thereafter receiving his MBA from American University in Washington, DC.

Jeff Day is a seasoned international executive who has led operations in the Automotive, Manufacturing, Materials and Energy industries for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 firms.
Prior to joining Lake Pointe, Mr. Day managed an international private consulting firm he founded, engaging middle-market companies in Asia-focused market entry, business development, joint venture and wholly-owned foreign enterprise programs. Additionally, Mr. Day’s firm helped companies develop lower cost sources for a wide variety of components and systems. He has served in interim and full-time President and CEO capacities for multiple companies, including a developer of a revolutionary motor/generator technology. While there, he was successful in introducing the company’s hybrid vehicle propulsion and turbine-driven generator technologies to companies including Toyota and Rolls Royce. He also served as President of an innovative, low-cost oil extraction process development firm.
Previously, as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for magnetic materials producer, Magnequench, Inc, Mr. Day’s efforts resulted in over 35% year-over-year company growth and included the launch of a highly successful Japan-based business
Mr. Day spent over seven years as a Director of International Operations for Delphi Automotive Systems, managing operations in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Japan, South Korea and China, and greenfielding efforts in India. As a Division Marketing Manager for the Delco Remy division of General Motors, he was actively involved in electric vehicle programs.
Mr. Day’s international experience spans over 20 years and includes marketing and development for companies including General Electric and Toshiba. He has held residence in Japan and Singapore, and spends much of his time between the U.S. and his office in Shanghai. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University with honors and received a Masters Degree and Joseph Schaffner Fellowship from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Daniel J. Huwel is a Partner with Lake Pointe. A former Tatum Partner and 30-year veteran of senior management and operational turnarounds, he has led complex corporate renewal and performance improvement initiatives for middle market companies in various industries.
Prior to joining Lake Pointe , Mr. Huwel led the transition of Precious Moments, Inc. from a small art licensing company to become a $60 million, 120-employee collectible gifts enterprise. As Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer, he established warehouse and distribution channels, diversified a China supply chain and reversed seven years of double-digit sales declines.
As Chief Financial Officer of Aero Products International, Mr. Huwel grew an “As Seen On TV” direct-sale consumer products business into a $100+ million big-box retailer distributor. Assisting a private equity purchase of an inflatable mattress manufacturer, Mr. Huwel led due diligence and transitional planning, established stand-alone accounting operations and launched an e-commerce sales initiative. The investment was later sold for $231.5 million, representing a 6.3X multiple on the original investment.
Mr. Huwel previously served as Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer in the turnaround of a $200 million Miami based cruise line. The successful turnaround plan included redeployment of ships, renegotiation of key vendor contracts, reduction of personnel, refinement of marketing strategy and eventual debt restructuring. As Vice President of Corporate Development for Brambles U.S.A., a $350 million industrial services company, Mr. Huwel managed mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. As interim CFO, he led the turnaround and return to profitability of a Bramble’s subsidiary, Atlantic Waste Disposal, Inc, including an operational and financial restructuring.
Prior experience includes 17 years with the international public accounting and consulting firm of Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Huwel is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.

Mr. Sharwarko is a 30-year veteran of senior management and operational turnarounds. He has led complex domestic and international performance improvement initiatives for large and middle-market companies in various industries.
Mr. Sharwarko has held senior management and consulting positions during his career with companies in the retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and business services sectors, including food processing, chemical manufacturing, brokerage and merchant services, manufactured tooling, warehousing operations and supply chain management. He has consulted for various private equity sponsors including Allied Capital, Code, Hennessy & Simmons, Harbour Group and Kirtland Capital. Client companies for performance improvement consulting initiatives include Pitney Bowes, Hon Office Furniture, U.S. Gypsum, Leggett & Platt, Textron, Ryerson Steel, Stericycle, Polestar Printing, McDonalds, J. Walter Industries, IMC Global and Motor Coach Industries.
Major accomplishments during his career include leading the negotiations to purchase a $1.2 billion food brokerage firm for a private equity investor group. Mr. Sharwarko led the acquisition and reorganization of a troubled import business including the introduction of new product lines to drive revenue growth to existing customers, turning operations profitable the first year post-restructuring. As Chief Executive Officer of Federated Group, a $200 million revenue private label food merchant, Mr. Sharwarko successfully implemented an acquisition strategy with a focus on operational integration to drive revenues while improving operating margins. In a consulting role he managed the financing process to secure $10 million of venture and second stage funding for Intelledge, a start-up technology firm to service electronic marketing, inventory management and pricing controls for the retail industry.
Mr. Sharwarko holds a B.A.A.S. in Accounting from the Illinois Institute of Technology, completing executive education programs at the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University.

Suzanne M. Burke is a Director with Lake Pointe Partners. Her background includes executive roles in private equity and a financial institution, and as a practitioner in turnaround management.
Ms. Burke provides Lake Pointe considerable turnaround experience in consulting and interim management roles. As a consultant to High Ridge Partners, Inc., she served as Interim-CEO of a $200 million pork processing business, successfully managing the business, while executing a sale of the company. As a consultant to a major US auto manufacturer, she was responsible for assessing supplier viability and financial conditions. Her experiences also include insolvency analyses and bankruptcy preparation, wind-down and restructuring, and forensic accounting.
Ms. Burke has also previously held senior financial positions with Gaslight Equity Group, LLC, Hilco Trading Co. and American Hospital Supply Corporation. She began her career in public accounting with both Price Waterhouse & Company and Elmer Fox, Westheimer & Company.
Ms. Burke is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Illinois CPA Society. She is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association. She holds a Bachelors of Business, Accounting and Auditing from Western Illinois University.
Haiyang Chen

Haiyang Chen is a Director with Lake Pointe Partners in its Shanghai office. He is a Chinese national and 35-year veteran of manufacturing operations, serving multi-national companies, managing joint ventures (JV) and wholly-owned foreign enterprises (WOFE).
Prior to joining Lake Pointe, Mr. Chen managed China-based efforts for a consulting firm that offered Asian market entry strategy, JV and WOFE set-up, and worked extensively in China
to source lower cost, high quality components for export to North America, Japan and Europe.
Previously, while General Manager of a 50/50 Sino-Australian JV, Shanghai Air International Co., Ltd., Mr. Chen’s growth strategies elevated the climate control products producer to a Tier 1 supplier to companies including General Motors. He helped to establish a critical HVAC US export market, greatly reduced costs of sourced components and led a highly successful market entry into heat exchanger manufacturing.
As President of high-tech materials producer, Magnequench Co. in Tianjin, China, Mr. Chen managed the transfer of US manufacturing processes to China-based operations, overseeing plant construction and equipment installation. Later, he successfully implemented lean manufacturing systems, QC measures and sales and marketing strategies.
Earlier, as a Deputy General Manager at Shanghai Delphi Automotive
Systems Company, Mr. Chen led improvements to international sales, marketing and purchasing efforts, and customer service to companies including VW, GM and Suzuki. In a similar role with Sichuan-based Chengdu Automobile
Factory, he managed an operation of 2100 employees, improved manufacturing facilities and established a JV with British-owned Rover Group.
Haiyang is fluent in both Mandarin and English. He holds a B.S. Degree in Automotive Design, Test and Manufacture from Hunan University in China and has attended programs at the Chengdu University of Science & Technology and General Motors Engineering & Management Institute.

Shannon Li is a Director with Lake Pointe Partners in its
Shanghai Office.
Ms. Li has extensive Human Resources Management experience with multi-national companies, working with US holding companies, wholly-owned foreign enterprises (WOFE) and joint ventures (JV). She brings to Lake Pointe an expertise in Chinese labor law and regulations, including Chinese social benefits policy, having completed extensive research on growing foreign interests in China.
Ms. Li possesses a deep and diverse background in international manufacturing and human resources management. Prior to joining Lake Pointe, she coordinated China-based efforts for a US-based international business consulting firm specializing in Asian market entry strategy, JV and WOFE setup and strategic sourcing activities.
From 1998 to 2006, Shannon worked as an HR Manager for 3 Delphi organizations in Shanghai, including Delphi Shanghai Dynamics & Propulsion System Co. Ltd, (WOFE); Shanghai Delphi Emission Control Systems Co., Ltd ( JV); and Delphi China Holding Co. Ltd.. Ms. Li was Responsible for developing HR policy and procedures relative to resource planning, recruiting and retention, training and development, compensation and benefits, expatriate administration, and corporate/government communications.
As a multi-lingual Chinese national, Ms. Li has taught English at two key Chinese universities, including Chengdu University of Science and Technology and Beijing University of Post and Telecommunication. She has received extensive Western training at institutions including Sheffield University (UK) and Michigan State University (US), and holds an M.A. Degree from Reading in the United Kingdom.
